  • Jody Campeau

    Chief Executive Officer

    Jody's powerful vision and energetic leadership have guided Maplesoft’s rapid growth and competitive position globally. Since joining Maplesoft in 2001, Jody has driven the strategic direction, vision and mission of establishing Maplesoft as the world’s leading systems integrator. He concentrates on long-term growth opportunities that address strategic areas such as Managed Services and Technology Integration.

    Jody works closely with his executive team members to ensure their passion for excellence and individualized service extends to all areas of the company. As well, he plays a leading role in the execution of the organization’s operating efficiency, financial performance and customer focus. His dynamic and energetic personality builds and promotes a corporate culture that is cultivated by each partner within the organization. Jody leads by example, encourages a team-first work environment, and firmly believes that Maplesoft can deliver on its fiscal mandate as well as give back to the community. He is the driving force behind the Maplesoft Children's Foundation, which provides underprivileged children the opportunity to attend summer camp.  As well, he is a member of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation’s ‘Courage Campaign’ Cabinet.

    While studying business administration at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Jody combined his academics with outstanding athletics and played varsity hockey for the X-men. Based on his belief in the fundamental value of sport and community, he founded and continues to support the Maplesoft Hawks Spring AAA hockey organization.

    Jody was a recipient of the Canada's Top 40 Under 40 Award in 2010. This is a national award program, honouring 40 Canadians under the age of 40 based on five key criteria: vision and leadership; innovation and acheivement; impact; community involvement and contribution; and strategy for growth. Jody is also a recipient of Ottawa Business Journal’s 2009 Forty under 40 Award, which recognizes business executives who balance bottom-line results with participation in charitable and community activities. In his personal time, Jody enjoys boating, golfing and travelling with his wife and six children.

  • Paul Butcher

    President

    Paul’s experience and leadership will be instrumental to further evolve Maplesoft’s Systems Integration business.   Paul brings experience to assist in providing planning, advisory, execution and strategic direction to Maplesoft on future mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, as well as the development of new delivery approaches and services for our enterprise customers. Paul has large enterprise business experience and he will play a vital role in the evolution of Maplesoft and our next growth chapter. With the addition of Paul to our senior management team, he will help continue our focus on strong, profitable growth and accelerate our expansion into the US and internationally.  All of the necessary steps to grow Maplesoft into a tier 1 market player.

    Prior to joining Maplesoft, Paul Butcher served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Mitel Networks Corporation from 2001 to 2011, overseeing the strategic and tactical evolution in Mitel's sales, marketing and R&D growth initiatives. He has unique insight and expertise and more than 20 years of marketing and senior management experience in the communications-technology industry. He was with Mitel Corporation for more than 14 years and led the European operations.  Prior to Mitel, Paul worked in the semiconductor industry.

    During his tenure at Mitel, Paul led a $723 million acquisition of a major telecom company in the USA, and after integrating this business, helped to take Mitel public on the NASDAQ in what was the largest Canadian Tech IPO in the last 10 years.  Paul is recognized as an industry leader and has spoken at numerous trade shows and conferences. He is a graduate of Reading College of Technology in the U.K.

  • Jean Maisonneuve, CA

    Chief Financial Officer

    Jean oversees the rapidly growing accountabilities of Maplesoft’s financial and administrative branches. This includes the development of a financial and operational strategy, the metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets, report accurate financial results, and mitigate risk. He also assists the CEO and COO on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and securing new funding.

    Previously a partner with BDO Dunwoody LLP, Jean has been serving businesses and individuals in the areas of taxation, succession planning and business consulting since 1995. Jean earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa and graduated with honours on the dean's list.

    He is an active member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, Ordre des Comptable Agréés du Québec, the Public Accountant Council for the Province of Ontario, Business Network International and the Clarence-Rockland Chamber of Commerce. In the past, Jean has been a board member of the Caisse Populaire Desjardins of Ontario and of Business Network International. He has served as a member of the Optimists, Richelieu and the Rockland Clarence Business Alliance.

    Outside work, Jean volunteers with the Serge Payer Foundation and the Knights of Columbus. He also volunteers as a coach, recruiter, principal fundraiser and treasurer of various organizations, including the Rockland Nats and the Clarence-Rockland Ringette Association.

  • Jason Campeau

    Chief Operating Officer

    Since joining Maplesoft in 2003, Jason's contributions have been instrumental in driving year-over-year revenue growth and overall market share.

    Jason has played a key role in building strategic relationships while expanding the company's presence and capability as a global systems integrator in the consulting and technology markets. He has been successful in verifying the profitability and capitalization of Maplesoft’s interests in the marketplace. He has also been instrumental in enhancing and streamlining our internal processes and standards, which ensure our organizational capabilities are aligned with our financial targets and corporate responsibilities.

    As COO, Jason drives sales and marketing initiatives and manages corporate support activities, including customer support services, branding, advertising, public relations, marketing research and relationship marketing. He focuses on day-to-day operations in the areas of cost control, problem-resolution and advising the senior management team, thus ensuring that Maplesoft’s goals and objectives are aligned with its mission and vision.

    Jason graduated from the University of New Brunswick, which he attended under an athletic scholarship. Outside the office, Jason contributes much of his time to the community, as a volunteer coach for the Nepean Wildcats and the Maplesoft Hawks.

  • Jack Gulas

    Chief Technology Officer

    Maplesoft’s technical vision and development are Jack’s responsibilities and he plays an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. Jack’s role is to identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s technology products and services by ensuring that resources are used effectively, particularly in the areas of software development, telecommunications, and partner alliance management.

    One of Jack’s goals is to help place Maplesoft at the forefront of information and communication technologies and to stimulate intellectual property creation and exploitation. He oversees Maplesoft’s Practice Solutions, which includes our Enterprise Project Management Office, Application Development team, and Cloud Services. As well, he communicates the company’s technology strategy to investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders.

    Jack has worked in the high-tech field since 1999, holding numerous management and leadership positions. Before joining Maplesoft, Jack spent six years at Sun Microsystems. In his last position as Senior Client Director for Wesley Clover accounts, he was responsible for the Wesley Clover/Sun Alliance as well as profitably growing business with Wesley Clover across the portfolio companies, including Bridgewater Systems, March Networks, Mitel, and Solace Systems.

    Jack holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor's degree in chemistry and marketing from Franciscan University in Ohio.

  • Carl Nappert

    Executive Vice-President, Business Development

    Since joining Maplesoft in 2001, Carl’s sales leadership has been instrumental in growing Maplesoft’s annual revenue.

    Carl's responsibilities include spearheading and nurturing existing and new senior level relationships with key clients, and works with lead customers in emerging markets to provide feedback to the CEO, fostering an environment of high performance and co-operation. To that end, Carl supports the executive management team in refining a vision for the business as well as the strategic direction, including assessing the company's existing market opportunities, competitive positioning, and solutions in order to streamline and determine the appropriate strategic roadmap for Maplesoft.

    While earning his degree in Business Administration with specializations in marketing and international business from the University of Ottawa, Carl served as president of the student association and claimed first place in the Entrepreneurship Case of the Commerce Games. Carl received the Ottawa Business Journal’s 2010 40 under 40 Award, which recognizes business executives who balance bottom-line results with participation in charitable and community activities. He also received the 2010 Young Achiever’s Award from the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, recognizing alumni who have achieved business excellence before age 40.

    Carl is active in his community, sitting on the board of the Franco Festival, Serge Payer Foundation, the Foundation of La Cité Collégiale, and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation’s ‘Do it for Dad’ campaign. He's also a proud supporter of the United Way and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
