Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Programmer/Software Developer to join one of our clients located in Ottawa

The Programmer/Software Developer is responsible for participating in the design, development, testing, integration, implementation and maintenance of code. Their tasks and deliverables could include but are not limited to the following:

- Analyzes the problems outlined by the systems analysts;
- Participates in analyzing, defining and documenting client requirements;
- Produces technical specification documentation, writes new or modify existing code, writes and updates documentation on application systems, software, tools, functions or interfaces to facilitate systems development and implementation activities;
- Selects and incorporates available third party and other software;
- Conducts unit and system testing to verify accuracy and completeness of programs and participates in quality assurance activities; and,
- Assists in the provision of application support services including the correction of program errors.
- Deliver changes to the ongoing application using MS .NET Framework Version 4.5.*, MS Visual Studio 2010 or higher, DevExpress 16.*, and SQL Server Management Studio 2008 and higher versions (creating and maintaining complex T-SQL queries, views and  stored procs in a multi-database/multi-tier environment)
- Create and maintain Functions, Stored Procedures, Views, and .NET Release deployments and migrations across various DEV, UAT and PROD environments
- Design and update DevExpress reports
- Source Code Repository version control and maintenance
- Prepare development and test servers/environments (e.g. SQL server, IIS, database objects and data migration/extracts) and support production environment
- Support, resolve and apply correction to related systems/applications environment
- Release plan, task estimates of the efforts required to perform changes
- Source code management; technical documentation, manage RFC, IR in Infoweb
- Test case planning and development; development of technical design documentation
- Status report to team lead and manager
- Document and knowledge transfer prior to staff/FTE at the end of contract
