Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Project Leader to join one of our clients located in Ottawa

Tasks include but are not limited to:

- Specify the general requirements of the system, develop broad system alternatives and identify their administrative, economic and technical feasibility and practicality as well as associated policy and organizational change requirements.
- Analyse and evaluate each alternative based on make/buy, impact and cost/benefit considerations, and propose, justify, plan and cost the implementation of the selected alternative.
- Produce overall plan, a detailed plan for the functional analysis phase, and obtain approval of preliminary analysis.
- Plan, direct and control the activities of a system development team within scheduled time and cost parameters.
- Design, and test systems to ensure that the objectives of the system are met and that the outputs produced are in accordance with the client requirements.
- Monitor the design, implementation and operations start-up of the proposed system against established goals, objectives, and milestones.

Requirements:

- 10 years experience as a Project Leader providing support and consultation in relation to scheduling and reporting or;
- 5 years experienced with a recognized professional certificate.
- A University degree in a related business or technology discipline or;
- 2 year college diploma in a related business or technology discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related business or technology discipline or;
- A University degree in any field and a minimum of five years in a related business or technology discipline or;
- A recognized certification in a related field.
- Experience using MS Project (version 2010 or more recent) to develop/maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and schedules and track progress against the baseline.
- Experience maintaining and tracking Program schedules to identify interdependencies between projects to identify and amange schedule risks.
