Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Project Manager to join one of our clients located in Ottawa

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering the overall project and its deliverables by acting as the customer’s single point of contact for the project, controlling the planning and executing project activities and resources to ensure the established scope, budget, time and quality goals are met.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Adhere to the Project Management Framework;
- Work with several technical specialists, each responsible for an element of the project and its associated project team;
- Define and document the objectives for the project; determine budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities and terms of reference for the project team;
- Creation and maintenance of required project management documents (e.g. project charter, project plan, project schedule, issues/risks log, etc.);
- Manage the project during the development, implementation and operations start-up by ensuring that resources are made available and that the project is developed and is fully operational within previously agreed time, cost and performance parameters;
- Meet with stakeholders and other project managers including project managers and state problems with recommendations in a form capable of being solved;
- Establish procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified project elements to solve these problems after the approval is received;
- Create and maintaining an up-to-date schedule (MS Project) of all aspects and milestones related to the Project;
- Identify risks and recommend contingency plans;
- Develop milestones and final reports as determined;
- Attend and participate in project team meetings, as well as facilitate status review meetings among project teams’ members;
- Report progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle;
- Prepare plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems; work with a variety of project management tools;
- Prepare briefing notes and presentations to communicate the project to key stakeholders;
- Alert the hiring manager, as appropriate, of any situation that may jeopardize the Project's delivery and outlining appropriate recommended remedial actions;
- Formulate statements of problems; suggest solution and present them to the hiring manager for approval;
- Be responsible for weekly updates to the hiring manager;
- Complete final project sign-off
