Jody's powerful vision and energetic leadership have guided Maplesoft’s rapid growth and competitive position as an industry leader for over a decade. Since joining Maplesoft in 2001, Jody has driven the strategic direction, vision and mission of the organization thus establishing Maplesoft as a leading provider of professional services for clients in the public and private sectors. He concentrates on long-term growth opportunities that build on deep client relationships that have been established on the foundation of trust.
Jody works closely with his executive team members to ensure their passion for excellence and individualized service extends to all areas of the company. He plays a leading role in the execution of the organization’s efficient operations, financial performance and customer focus. His dynamic and energetic personality builds and promotes a corporate culture that is nurtured by each partner within the organization. Jody leads by example, encourages a team-first work environment, and firmly believes that Maplesoft can deliver on its fiscal mandate as well as give back to the community. Jody was the leading force behind Maplesoft’s $1.8 million commitment to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation’s Maplesoft Center for Cancer Survivors.
While studying business administration at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Jody combined his academics with outstanding athletics and played varsity hockey for the X-men. Based on his belief in the fundamental value of sport and community, he founded and continues to support the Maplesoft Hawks Spring AAA hockey organization.
Jody was a recipient of the Canada's Top 40 Under 40 Annual Award which honours 40 Canadians under the age of 40 based on five key criteria: vision and leadership; innovation and achievement; impact; community involvement and contribution; and strategy for growth. Jody is also a recipient of Ottawa Business Journal’s Forty under 40 Award, which recognizes business executives who balance bottom-line results with participation in charitable and community activities. In his personal time, Jody enjoys boating, golfing and travelling with his wife and six children.
