    Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Programmer to join one of our Federal Government clients located in Ottawa.


    Period of Task Authorization:
    ASAP, to September 23, 2022; including optional periods to extend for up to an additional 24 months. The initial period may be extended with a TA amendment issued by the Contracting Authority. 

    Security Clearance
    Must hold a valid Reliability or Secret security clearance.

    Resource must communicate in English.

    STATEMENT OF WORK
    OBJECTIVE

    To acquire the following Informatics professional services from the private sector by using the Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) supply arrangement on an as required basis.
     
    The Infrastructure Security Operations (ISO) directorate of Shared Services Canada (SSC) is responsible for supporting the IT security systems functions of the Government of Canada (GC). Responsibilities of the Horizontal Strategic Operations division of ISO include reporting on the performance of these security systems and day-to-day operations to various stakeholders within SSC and GC.

    SCOPE OF WORK
    The resource will carry out the work described in this statement of work (SOW).

    Create and modify code and software. Examples include Visual Basic code, JavaScript/Groovy Jira Automation, HTML, Power BI scripting, PowerShell, SQL/JQL, Python, Linux/Unix scripting.
    Create and modify screens and reports. Examples include Power BI, SAS, Jira, PDF templates, dashboards, Microsoft O365, web interfaces.
    Design methods and procedures for small computer systems, interfaces, and sub-systems of larger systems.
    Develop integration points between existing systems.
    Automate the transformation of data and develop scripts to facilitate the migration of data between systems.
    Test interfaces, small computer systems, and sub-systems of larger systems. Unit testing, bug fixes, quality assurance.
    Produce forms, manuals, programs, data files, and procedures for systems and/or applications.
    Adhere to agile scrum methodology, joint application development (JAD), and software development life cycle best practices.
    Analyze and transform data for a variety of reports and stakeholders. Programmatically generate visuals (bar graphs, pie charts, pivot tables, line graphs, etc.).
    Prepare technical reports such as requirement analysis, options analysis, and technical architecture documents.
    Attend meetings as requested.
    Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

    Development, testing, and implementation of scripts and integration points to automate the migration and transformation of data between systems, including asset management systems, data repositories, ITSM systems, Exchange, databases, and visual analytics systems.
    Documentation of the methods and procedures to automate the migration and transformation of data.
    Creation of screens, reports, and interfaces to programmatically provide visual analyses of data (bar graphs, pie charts, pivot tables, line graphs, etc.).
    Documentation of the process to create the screens, reports, and interfaces providing visual analyses of data.

    REGULAR MEETINGS
    The Contractor’s Project Authority must meet with the Technical Authority or their representative on a monthly basis or as requested to discuss any issues associated with the provision of the required Informatics Professional Services. These meetings will be at no additional cost.

    SERVICE LEVELS

    Normal Working Hours
    Normal working hours will be no earlier than 7:00 am to no later than 6:00 pm EST Monday through Friday (with the exception of statutory holidays as defined by the province of work). The Contractor will be expected to work 7.5 hours/day within normal working hours, unless arrangements are made ahead of time with the Technical Authority. The Technical Authority will authorize additional hours of work in advance at the same rate as normal office hours. The Contractor will normally work during regular business hours, on site, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Contractor and the Technical Authority. For the duration of the contract all personnel must be available to work outside normal office hours as required.
