Tim Beaulieu is responsible for overseeing the accounting, compliance, reporting and financing functions across the company and its various subsidiaries. Since joining Maplesoft, an SEB company, in 2008, Mr. Beaulieu has helped build and support the finance organization through the company’s aggressive growth and multiple ventures. Mr. Beaulieu has extensive experience dealing with both private and public companies across multiple exchanges and geographic locations. He is thoroughly versed in both IFRS and GAAP reporting. He has extensive expertise in structuring and negotiating financing transactions, equity and debt and in financial and operational restructuring and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Beaulieu shepherded the sale of Maplesoft to Smart Employee Benefits Inc. and then played an instrumental role working with SEB’s Executive Management Team in the restructuring of SEB-Maplesoft’s financing arrangements. He assumed the role of CFO for the SEB Group of Companies in 2019 and is now responsible for all corporate financial operations and reporting on a consolidated basis. Mr. Beaulieu is also active in supporting many operational and sales activities.

Mr. Beaulieu supported the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation management team on various financial-related matters and sat on the Board of Directors as Treasurer. Previously a manager with BDO Canada, he had many years experience serving both businesses and individuals in the area of assurance and accounting services, business valuation, litigation support, tax planning, due diligence and corporate finance prior to joining the Maplesoft Finance and Accounting team.

Mr. Beaulieu is an active member of the CICA, the ICAO and the OCAQ. He graduated from the University du Québec à Hull in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting. He also obtained a graduate degree in 2002 with a specialization in accounting with the University du Québec en Outaouais. Mr. Beaulieu is fluently bilingual in French and English.

Mr. Beaulieu is an executive officer and director across all SEB subsidiaries and affiliates.
