Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid Tech Lead for our client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Our client has an immediate requirement for a Tech Lead who meets or exceeds the technical skills below and would ensure a collaborative mindset and behaviors as per below.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the technical team (developers, testers, integrators, etc.).
- Define and validate the technical architecture and development standards.
- Design, review, and approve technical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Ensure code quality through reviews, continuous integration, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to plan sprints and define priorities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and performance issues.
- Contribute to effort estimation, resource planning, and delivery timelines.
- Promote skill development within the team through coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and quality standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose continuous improvements.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, etc.).
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles (microservices, APIs, cloud platforms, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Awareness of application security and performance optimization best practices.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication and technical storytelling skills.
- Ability to mentor, motivate, and develop team members.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5–7 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Proven experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, SAFe, or similar).
Assets
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Relevant technical or Agile certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, Scrum Master).
- Experience integrating DevOps or DataOps practices.
