Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Remote Azure Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead for our Federal Government client. This is a remote role and can be filled from anywhere within Canada.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The Azure Senior Software Engineer Consultant/Tech Lead is a pivotal role focused on designing, coding, testing, deploying and supporting applications and integrations. We are looking for developers/tech leads who specialize in software integration systems and APIs within an existing Azure, BizTalk, and .NET environment. This position is key to achieving the client's 2030 strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Take a technical leadership role in making design decisions
• Gather requirements, design and build middleware solutions
• Develop integrations on the Azure platform
• Implement and test the software fixes and remediate any vulnerabilities
• Support the software deployments and go-live production deployments
• Work with the team to integrate test automation tools and mechanisms for API component testing, regression testing.
Top Skills Required:
• 10 years in Software Engineering with knowledge of the SDLC
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in Azure software development
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, automation, integration, DevOps, networking, and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments
Other Skills Required:
• Demonstrated experience in managing integration design patterns and practices including API virtualization, resilient event streaming, event driven architecture and asynchronous processing
• Advanced knowledge in Web services, microservices, and API development
• Advanced knowledge in Integration services, including JSON, REST, and SOAP protocols
• Demonstrated and experience in agile projects on Azure DevOps
• Effective communication skills with ability to understand the squad’s priorities and propose technical decisions tied to priorities
Assets:
• Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
