    Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Remote Data Governance Consultant for our Federal Government client. This is a Remote role and can be filled from anywhere within Canada.

    Purpose of the Role:

    - To ensure the Tenant Compliance Reporting Service (TCRS) produces trusted, traceable, policy-aligned, audit-ready compliance data for all departments.
    - Automation engineers can extract and evaluate configuration data, but only data governance ensures that the results are meaningful, explainable, and defensible.

    This role ensures that:

    - Every compliance rule can be traced to an authoritative policy source
    - Every datapoint is defined, governed, and quality-controlled
    - Departments can trust TCRS outputs for audits, PRC reviews, SDM compliance, etc

    Map each TCRS compliance check to:
    - SDM control
    - SCuBA control
    - TBS Cloud Guardrails
    - CSE / ITSG references (where applicable)
    - Maintain a Policy-to-Rule Traceability Matrix:
    - Rule ID
    - Rego policy file
    - TCRS output field(s)
    - Authoritative policy source
    - Policy version
    - Department applicability
    - Ensure that when policy changes (e.g., SDM revision), TCRS rules are updated accordingly.

    Key Skills & Experience:
     
    A. Policy & Compliance Expertise
    - GC Security Policy (Policy on Government Security)
    - TBS Policy on Service & Digital
    - SDM (Security Deployment Manual)
    - SCuBA baselines (CISA + GC adaptations)
    - ITSG-33 / ITSG-22 (asset sensitivity + zoning)
    - TRA/TARA methodologies
    - Cloud guardrails

    We are looking for a candudate who understands how security rules map to compliance logic.
     
    - ata dictionaries
    - Metadata repositories
    - Lineage tracking
    - Data quality rules
    - Data governance tools (Collibra, Purview, Informatica, etc.)
    - Building governance frameworks in public-sector programs

    JSON data structures
    - Microsoft 365 configuration surfaces
    - Graph API endpoints (conceptually)
    - Policy-as-code lifecycle
    - CI/CD pipelines (conceptual awareness)

    *You do not need to code Rego or PowerShell—but must be able to review outputs and validate rules.
