    Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Sr. Recruiter to join our team located in Ottawa.

    Reporting to the Recruiting Manager, the Recruiter is accountable for actively finding qualified resources to submit for federal government Requests for Proposals (RFP) and pro-active requirements. They must verify that the resources meet the qualifications and are compliant before the bid is submitted. The Recruiter is responsible for managing his/her workload, solving problems, and raising concerns when necessary.

    Education:
    Completion of high school is required.

    • A university degree or college diploma in a field related to personnel management such as Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Information Technology, Commerce, Psychology or completion of a Professional Development program in Recruitment is considered an asset.


    Experience:
    A minimum of 7 years of experience in Recruitment position; preferably from within an IT professional services for government clients environment.
    Experience completing grids and matrices for federal government requirements.
    Experience in a position that requires the ability to multi-task and manage priorities.

    Responsibilities of the Recruiter include the following:
    Manage the recruitment process for assigned RFPs. Activities include thoroughly reading of an RFP, coordinating with internal members of staff (Account Executives, Proposal team, Contracting and Operations Support) to confirm requirements and making recommendations for resourcing. Perform searches for and identify qualified candidates through use of internal systems and external job boards. This requires posting a position, contacting resources to verify skills, availability, security clearance, and rates of pay. Negotiation of rates is necessary most of the time. He/she is also accountable to work with the sub-contractor to complete the grids/ matrices for a bid.

    Perform required administrative tasks. This includes updating internal records in the "recruiting" system CRM with required resource information as it relates to a bid (per diems rates, scores, security clearance etc.), maintaining spreadsheets used for large bids, creating/updating tracking sheets, updating Recruiter checklists and ensuring information is disseminated to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

    Participate in internal meetings to discuss workload, progress on a bid, potential issues, current and upcoming opportunities, and strategies to be used to respond to a bid. Responsible to liaise and co-ordinate workload and priorities with the Operations Support Lead and Recruiting Manager.
    Build relationships with Sub Contractors. This involves coordinating meetings with sub-contractors to share market information, gain market intelligence, and to build a positive rapport that will lead to a mutually beneficial working relationship.
    Perform pro-active recruiting. This includes actively sourcing for candidates who are not currently in our database but who have marketable skills. This is done through use of networking, job boards and referrals.
    Assume responsibility for individual time management. This includes prioritizing proposals in order of importance, complexity and/or due dates to stay on schedule to meet defined time lines.
    Collaborate with internal Maplesoft Group personnel to foster an environment of team work, information sharing and continuous improvement. This includes the dissemination of information to colleagues within Maplesoft Group for the purposes of providing the best possible services to the Maplesoft Group client base, respecting, recognizing and leveraging individual talents and contributions, professionally approaching all situations within the Maplesoft Group workplace and participating on internal working groups (as appropriate) for the advancement of the organization.
