    Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Developer – BI Projects for our Federal Government client.

    The following responsibilities are associated with the “Statement of Work” but are not
    limited to:

    Primary Responsibilities

    1.   Meet with stakeholders to gather and document requirements;
    2.   Translate user requirements to BI requirements template;
    3.   Assess data mart and/or subject area, make recommendations for any re-design that may be required and assist in the specification process of the Extract, Transfer, and Load (“ETL”) re-design;
    4.   Source the required data needed to support the requirements or develop alternate methods for sourcing data that is not readily available;
    5.   Design and build and/or change appropriate database objects, warehouse builds, ETL jobs, Online Analytical Processing (“OLAP”) models, and user-friendly reporting that meet specifications;
    6.   Design and build and/or change the appropriate changes to database objects, OLAP models, Cognos Framework Manager models and reports to support the ETL changes;
    7.   Create reusable objects and techniques to support the Data Warehouse bus architecture. e.g. surrogate ID creation, slowly changing dimension, hierarchy creation, standard dimension and fact table creation;
    8.   Convert SSIS ETL to work in Azure Data factory where feasible;
    9.   Move SSIS packages to Azure to work under Azure data factory Intergration runtime task;
    10.  Update Business Glossary with business terms and business rules in the repository;
    11.  Perform unit testing and assist in end user testing and certification of the solution;
    12.  Support the development testing, and deployment of cloud-based data and reports, on-prem reporting such as incorporation of master data into Datawarehouse subject areas.
    13.  Re-develop SEP metrics to match the new ASSA projects. Re-develop the SITT (new TAS reports). Develop PowerBI dashboards for end-users in the Technology, Finance, and Legal branches;
    14.  Convert Legacy Cognos reports to SSRS or Power BI reports.
    15.  Support the expansion of self-serve report development by training business users on querying and extracting data when designing their own reports;
    16.  Provide weekly progress reports;
    17.  Complete thorough documentation of the work performed (for example:Report, Framework Manager and ETL documentation and any process documentation) including document containing all technical specification, instructions, and support related information for all development or configuration work performed; and
    18.  Any other activities or sub-projects, such as dashboard development, assigned at the discretion of the Manager, Business Intelligence.
