    Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Data Modeler (Level 3) resource for our client.

    Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
     
    a) Collaborate closely with business analysts and subject matter experts to deeply 
    understand key business domains, ensuring that data models reflect business domains.
    b) Lead a design workshop to facilitate an understating of business data needs and how 
    they are mapped to the data model
    c) Explore and leverage event-driven architecture principles to model domain events and 
    ensure that data models support event-driven communication.
    d) Create logical data model to identify business entities, attributes and their relationship
    e) Convert logical models to physical models for the databases in use and provide DDLs to 
    the implementation team
    f) Create data dictionary to establish a common language for discussing and documenting 
    data elements essential to the business
    g) Conduct analysis on existing microservices data model and provide recommendations on 
    best approach for reusability, and re-design the new data model to ensure coherency 
    between the existing and the new microservices 
    h) Test the DDLS and ensure the models are deployed to all environments are consistently
    i) Implement data quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data in the 
    operational databases
    j) Build calculated fields and logic to create indicators and to read data and logic from an 
    existing microservice and new microservices 
    k) Work closely with cross-functional teams, developers, and business stakeholders to 
    ensure that the data model aligns with the strategic goals of the organization and 
    supports the development of effective and scalable solutions
    l) Support review, sign-off and implementation of the data model
    m) Embrace and contribute to an evolutionary approach to design, allowing the data model to 
    adapt and evolve as the understanding of the domain matures and business requirements 
    change.
