Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Data/Information Architect for our client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Represent the client in discussions with other external organizations.
- Work closely with various internal stakeholders including analysts, business subject matter experts and architects to gather their input on data concepts and solutions.
- Review and understand existing healthcare concepts and models in collaboration with key national, provincial, and territorial stakeholders.
- Apply data architectural and modelling experience to the creation of Information/data architecture that supports interoperability.
- Focus on evolving the Data Model (currently 900 data elements and expanding) that:
- Covers pan-Canadian space.
- Is technology agnostic.
- Includes concepts, definitions, and relationships.
- Includes comprehensive metadata modelling.
- Provides definitions for all aspects of the logical data model based on related data standards.
- Strong aptitude for abstract information design and for navigating ambiguity in the healthcare system.
- Familiarity with metadata modelling.
- Assess current health landscape for relevant information, data models, and standards to determine future architecture (e.g. FHIR, HL7 RIM, SNOMED CT, LOINC, PS-CA, USCDI, OMOP, ISO-13940, ISO-11179 etc.).
- Experience with alignment of multiple data sources, models and frameworks.
- Basic understanding of ontologies and semantic information models.
- Collaborate on the definition of related data standards, business glossary and data requirements.
- Ensure that interoperability, data consistency, data lifecycle, technological risks are all addressed in the data architecture.
- Document, communicate, and disseminate data architecture artifacts to multi-disciplinary audiences.
- Identify risks and work with the project team to develop mitigation plans.
- Respond to requests and evaluate recommended approaches from a data perspective.
- As required, assist in tactical planning for further development.
- Collaborate with technical resources on development and promotion of data standards.
