    Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Developer (Hybrid) for our Federal Government client.

    Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
     
    1. Meet with stakeholders to gather and document requirements;
    2. Translate user requirements to client's BI requirements template;
    3. Assess data mart and/or subject area, make recommendations for any re-design 
    that may be required and assist in the specification process of the Extract, 
    Transfer, and Load (“ETL”) re-design;
    4. Source the required data needed to support the requirements or develop alternate 
    methods for sourcing data that is not readily available;
    5. Design and build and/or change appropriate database objects, warehouse builds, 
    ETL jobs, Online Analytical Processing (“OLAP”) models, and user-friendly 
    reporting that meet specifications;
    6. Design and build and/or change the appropriate changes to database objects, 
    OLAP models (SSAS), and reports (Power BI/SSRS) to support the ETL changes 
    (SSIS/Azure Data Factory ADF, Data Bricks, Microsoft Synapse);
    7. Create reusable objects and techniques to support the Data Warehouse bus 
    architecture. e.g. surrogate ID creation, slowly changing dimension, hierarchy 
    creation, standard dimension and fact table creation; 
    8. If feasible, incorporate the Data Management group’s implementation of Master 
    Data into BI projects;
    9. Create Power Automate Workflows, AI Chatbots, AI Co-pilot studio applications, 
    AI Foundry PowerApps 
    10. Update Business Glossary with business terms and business rules in the 
    repository;
    11. Perform unit testing and assist in end user testing and certification of the solution; 
    12. Develop project specific reporting to support newly deployed systems such as but 
    not limited to: CRM replacement, PBS replacement, FBS Primary and other new 
    technologies;
    13. Develop PowerBI dashboards for end-users in the Service Delivery Branch;
    14. Support the expansion of self-serve report development by training business 
    users on querying and extracting data when designing their own reports;
    15. Provide weekly progress reports;
    16. Complete thorough documentation of the work performed (for example: Report, 
    Sematic models and ETL documentation and any process documentation) 
    including document containing all technical specification, instructions, and 
    support related information for all development or configuration work performed; 
    and 
    17. Any other activities or sub-projects, such as dashboard development, assigned 
    at the discretion of the client Manager, Business Intelligence.
