Maplesoft Group is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master for our client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The Scrum Master will be a facilitator who supports team members in applying Agile practices, processes, and behaviors for executing effectively and with quality; raises the performance of delivery teams through impediment management, continuous improvement, and ceremony facilitation.
The Contractor will complete, at a minimum, the following services and provide the associated deliverables described below:
a) Support continuous delivery of top priority work
b) Adoption and consistent use of agile techniques, tools, and standard practices
c) Create a positive working environment for teams to self-organize and raise performance
d) Promoting and supporting the use of Agile ways of working (Scrum and Kanban)
e) Coaching the team on Scrum, Kanban and Agile theory, practices, rules, and values
f) Acting as a servant-leader for the Team by advising stakeholders on interacting effectively with an Agile team
g) Coaching techniques for effective Product Backlog management
h) Helping the Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items
i) Understanding product planning in an empirical environment
j) Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value
k) Understanding and practicing agility
l) Coaching the Team in self-organization and cross-functionality
m) Helping the Team to create high-value products
n) Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problemsolving
o) Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
p) Removing impediments to the Team’s progress
q) Facilitating events as requested or needed
r) Works in close collaboration with the Product Owner (PO) and the Tech Lead
