Scope: Our client requires one (1) Programmer/Software Developer resource to support the Cloud Modernization of internal applications and associated services and databases. The resource will be responsible for designing and developing advanced insight reports using Microsoft Power BI and participating in the development of modern front-end components and features using ReactJS, built upon the existing Microsoft Azure Cloud Services environment. The Programmer/Software Developer will be a member of the Cloud Modernization project team and will report to the IT Project Manager.

The selected resource will work with the following technologies and tools:

• Microsoft .Net 8

• Entity Framework Core

• Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Application Insights)

• Microsoft Azure SQL and Microsoft Azure SQL Managed Instance 

• ReactJS

• REST API’s

• Microsoft Fluent UI

• Microsoft Azure DevOps Git

• Microsoft Azure DevOps Pipelines •  Microsoft Power Platform tools

Deliverables: The Programmer/Software Developer resources will participate in the current-state assessment, research, planning, environment setup (development, testing, staging, production), and will be responsible for the development of application reports, SQL queries, and front-end components. The resources must perform, without being limited to, the following tasks to support the Cloud Modernization of internal applications and associated services and databases:

• Participate in the assessment of the current front-end architecture.

• Participate in the creation of a plan for modernization of front-end to ReactJS.

• Design and develop advance insight Power BI reports using Microsoft Power BI, leveraging Microsoft Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).

• Develop SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data from Microsoft Azure SQL or SQL Managed Instance to support reporting and analytics requirements within the Power Platform environment.

• Participate in the development of a common look and feel across all internal applications, guided by the Safety Analysis application’s design principles.

• Participate in the development and implementation of a feature-based migration strategy for moving existing applications to the ReactJS framework.

• Participate in developing a shareable, reusable library of in-house components in ReactJS.

• Provide all the necessary knowledge transfer with the development team, including detailed guidance on environment setup (development, testing, stage and production), application configuration, and component usage.
