Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Senior Functional Analyst (D365 Finance and Supply Chain ERP) for our Federal Government client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
General:
Primarily responsible for understanding business requirements and translating them into functional
specifications for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) solutions. The role focuses on the functional aspects of
D365, such as business process mapping, system configuration, and user support, ensuring that the
platform meets the needs of the business.
Category Specific:
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business processes and gather detailed
requirements for Dynamics 365 (D365) applications.
• Translate business requirements into clear, functional specifications, ensuring that these align
with the D365 capabilities.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys with end-users to ensure a deep understanding of
business needs.
• Configure Dynamics 365 modules (such as Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, etc.)
based on the business requirements.
• Document functional designs, workflows, and configurations for D365 applications, ensuring the
solution meets business goals.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements, leveraging best practices in Dynamics
365.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure that system customizations and enhancements align with
business needs.
• Oversee the deployment of D365 configurations and customizations.
• Ensure that business rules, workflows, and integrations are properly implemented in D365.
• Support development of test plans and ensure that the solution is thoroughly tested to meet
business requirements and quality standards.
• Provide training to end-users on D365 functionality, including new features and best practices.
• Create training documentation and user guides to facilitate smooth adoption of the system.
• Provide post-implementation support and resolve issues or questions from users regarding the
functionality of the D365 system.
• Support change management initiatives to support the successful adoption of D365 by business
users.
• Help communicate changes to users and stakeholders, ensuring they understand and embrace
the new solution.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure the D365 solution meets
both functional and technical requirements.
• Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues, and ensure alignment
across business and IT teams.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Dynamics 365 features and updates, identifying opportunities to
improve business processes.
• Document forms, manuals, programs, data files, and procedures
• Coach, mentor and train the organization to perform any of the above
Specialties could include but are not limited to:
• 3+ years of experience working with Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations or Customer
Engagement).
• Strong understanding of D365 Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, and other
business modules.
• Experience in business process mapping, requirement gathering, and functional design.
• Proficiency in configuring D365 to meet business needs, including creating workflows, reports,
and dashboards.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including the ability to translate technical
jargon into business-friendly terms.
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing business processes and system performance.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Software knowledge in Process Mapping Software (e.g., MS Visio), SharePoint and Azure
DevOps.
• Knowledge of Cloud and networking in a hybrid environment
Deliverables may include:
• Provision of documentation as requested to perform the above noted responsibilities such as
ERP functional, business and systems requirements interface and specifications, screen, report
and interface requirements, forms, manuals, programs, data files and procedures.
Level: Intermediate with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with Dynamics 365 (Finance &
Operations or Customer Engagement).
