Maplesoft Group is currently seeking an Intermediate Technical Analyst (D365 Finance and Supply Chain ERP) for our Federal Government client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
General:
Serves as a key link between business requirements and technical implementation within the Microsoft
Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) ecosystem. This role focuses on translating functional needs
into scalable technical solutions, overseeing development activities, and ensuring alignment with
enterprise architecture standards Providing technical expertise for Microsoft Dynamics 365
implementations and supporting ongoing system maintenance and improvements
Category Specific:
• Translate high-level D365/Power Platform solution designs into detailed technical specifications.
• Lead technical delivery across internal teams and external vendors.
• Knowledge in design and implementing customizations and integrations using X++, .NET, and
Azure services.
• Oversee and document current vs. future-state technical landscapes.
• Facilitate technical workshops and provide architectural guidance.
• Coordinate data migrations, interface development, and release management.
• Execute build pipelines, manage Lifecycle Services (LCS), and deploy packages.
• Ensure development follows best practices, performance standards, and security protocols.
• Implement integrations between D365 and other internal/external systems using tools like Data
Management, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for Dynamics 365 users, troubleshooting and resolving
system issues.
• Perform customizations to Dynamics 365 applications including forms, workflows, reports, and
custom entities.
• Configure security roles, business processes, and document management systems within D365.
• Work with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI) to extend system
functionality.
• Support data migration from legacy systems to D365.
• Assist in mapping data, creating import/export processes, and ensuring data integrity during
system upgrades or migrations.
• Leverage Data Entities and Data Management framework for smooth migration and integration
of business-critical data.
• Assist in applying system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the environment is running
the latest version of D365.
• Establish technical standards for the technical framework
• Coach, mentor and train the organization to perform any of the above
Specialties could include but are not limited to:
• Strong knowledge of D365 architecture, development frameworks, and tools.
• Proficiency in X++ (for Finance and Operations) or C#/.NET (for Customer Engagement).
• Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for application lifecycle management (ALM).
• Experience with integrations (RESTful APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Data Management Framework).
• Knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and SSRS for reporting and data analysis.
• Knowledge of Cloud and networking in a hybrid environment
Deliverables may include:
• Provision of documentation as requested to perform the above noted responsibilities such as
business and functional requirements, technical standards and reports as requested.
Level:
Intermediate: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (preferably in Finance &
Operations or Customer Engagement modules).
