    Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Senior Cyber Security Practitioner for our Federal Government client.

    Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    Description:
    A Senior Cyber Security Practitioner is an experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding 
    of cyber security principles, technologies, and practices. They possess a deep expertise in designing, 
    implementing, and managing robust security solutions to protect organizations from cyber threats. With a 
    proven track record of success, they excel in leading multidisciplinary teams, conducting risk assessments, 
    developing security strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Their proactive 
    approach, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enables them to effectively mitigate 
    risks and safeguard sensitive information assets. As a trusted advisor, they play a pivotal role in guiding 
    the client towards achieving their cyber security objectives in an ever-evolving threat landscape. 

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Participates and contributes in the development and implementation of comprehensive cyber 
    security strategies.
    • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and prioritize security threats.
    • Manage security events and incidents and coordinate response efforts to minimize impact and 
    mitigate risks. 
    • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on security best practices and 
    compliance requirements. 
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to anticipate and address future cyber security 
    challenges. 
    • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
    • Monitor security controls and systems for anomalies, breaches, and unauthorized activities. 
    • Assist in the design and delivery of security awareness training and education programs for 
    employees at all levels, including the design and delivery of Table Top Exercises.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT team, executives, and regulatory bodies, to ensure 
    alignment with business objectives and legal requirements. 

    Requirements:
    • University degree / College Diploma in related area or equivalent experience 
    • Minimum of 10 years of related Government (federal, crown corporations) experience
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft M365 platform (including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, 
    Teams, and Azure DevOps, Sentinel, MS Defender) and Visio
    • Excellent writing and communication skills
    • Extensive experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
    • Industry Certifications are an asset (CISSP, ISACA, Microsoft, etc)
    • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
