    Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Bilingual, Hybrid Data Architect (ML/AI) for our client.

    Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    Responsible for assessing and designing enterprise-level data architecture solutions supporting ML/AI workloads, data warehousing, and analytics. Focused on improving data accessibility, quality, and integration across systems to support institutional priorities. Works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that the data ecosystem is robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with the client's strategic data initiatives.

    Education
    •  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
    •  Postgraduate studies in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related domain are an asset
    •  Professional certifications in cloud or data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, AWS Data Architect, GCP Data Engineer) are considered an advantage.

    Experience
    •  Minimum 6 years of IT experience, including 3+ years as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer.
    •  Proven expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehouse/datalake architectures.
    •  Hands-on experience with ML/AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and MLOps pipelines.
    •  Experience with data preparation, curation, and transformation using modern tools (e.g., Databricks, Dataiku, Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark).
    •  Demonstrated ability to design and optimize cloud-native data solutions on major platforms.
    •  Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data cataloguing, and privacy/compliance.
    •  Bilingual proficiency (English and French), both oral and written.

    Responsibilities
    • Design and maintain scalable data architectures to support analytics, AI, and ML initiatives.
    • Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration.
    • Ensure data security, quality, and compliance with institutional and privacy standards.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
    • Develop and document data models, workflows, and lineage.
    • Monitor and improve performance, reliability, and scalability of data systems.
    • Support deployment of data platforms and integrations.
    • Recommend improvements in tools, processes, and data governance practices.
    • Contribute to the delivery of data and AI projects within defined timelines and budgets.

    Deliverables
    • Comprehensive data architecture design documentation supporting ML/AI initiatives.
    • Implementation of data pipelines for ingestion, preparation, and transformation.
    • Data governance framework and documentation ensuring quality and compliance.
    • Integration of AI/ML-ready datasets and model operationalization workflows.
    • Technical documentation and knowledge transfer for ongoing maintenance.
    • Performance and scalability assessments with recommendations for improvement.
