Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid Senior Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer (Full-Time Permanent) for our client in Toronto, ON.
What you’ll be working on:
As a Senior PolicyCenter Developer, you will be part of a key strategic initiative building insurance solutions, integrations and implementing Guidewire PolicyCenter.
You will be …
• Building insurance solutions on Guidewire PolicyCenter, configuration, and process workflows
• Integrating with existing systems, building new functionalities, and customizing OOB features
• Ensure solutions include high quality code, unit testing and adhere to company standards
• Working closely with Solution Designers and other technology partners in translating requirements into a cohesive plan, determining technologies and options for a working solution
• Performing technical analysis, formulate design and program logic in collaboration with the solution design team
• Collaborating with internal/external IT teams, vendor partners and project management to ensure open communication and quality/timely deliverables
• Contributing and leading the implementation, back-out and disaster recovery plans
What are we looking for:

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with at least 5+ years of experience in IT industry
• 5+ years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter utilizing Gosu, UI configuration, Workflows, TeamCity and Guidewire Studio/IntelliJ Studio
• Previous project experience implementing Guidewire Cloud
• Advanced experience in Java/J2EE, Java design principles & Junit
• SOAP/Restful Web Services, XML
• Experience in database technology - SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration - Bitbucket/git, JIRA and Confluence
• Self-driven, high attention to detail, strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Relevant Guidewire certifications completed
